8’’ x 10’’ acrylic on wood. This painting was my second time painting on wood, which I realized is to be treated slightly different from canvas. I also was experimenting with using a detailed, small-brush style (my daughter Daisy in the foreground) and big broad palette knife strokes (the field and the grass). I think it worked out pretty well and I look forward to honing this style more as I continue my learning-to-paint journey.
